I love this mountain valley town of Steamboat. I really do. It really is that perfect mix of laid- back country and high-energy opportunity. Whether you’re a younger person just starting out, a self employed businessman looking for an area with great growth prospects or a more mature person wanting to wind down, our little town has the perfect home for you.  Unemployment is below the national average, wages are above the median and the area is set to for a sustained growth in real estate prices.

That’s why I’ve invested in the area. That’s what made me leave a successful stock brokerage career as a venture capitalist for the dot com industry few years ago and move to this wonderful mountain village of friendly people and magical vistas.

I’ve never regretted it, and neither will you.

Stephan Zittel, Steamboat Real Estate Agent & Developer

A native and life-long resident of Colorado, Stephan has seen the tremendous growth the state has experienced over the past 40 years.  After earning his MBA from the University of California at Berkeley, Stephan started a successful small package delivery company in Denver.  The company had offices throughout the front-range of Colorado and employed over 60 people.  The company was sold in 2000.

Stephan and his family have owned a second home in the Steamboat since 1996.  With the sale of his company, the family moved to Steamboat Springs as full time residents. 

Stephan is a developer as well, recently completing a multi-million dollar triplex project near the Sheraton Golf Course.  He is currently building a high-end custom home in one of Steamboat’s golf course communities.
